FENG SHUI AND BOUGAINVILLEAS

The bougainvillea plant growing outside my house in Ipoh is blooming with beautiful red flowers.  Some Feng Shui practitioners believe that planting purple and red bougainvillea attract wealth  as these two colours represent prosperity.
I remembered some time back that there were some who said that it was not suitable to be planted due to its prickly nature being a deterrent for luck to enter.   However, that is not the case.  As a matter of fact, the thorns are used in Feng Shui to help rid the surroundings of thorny issues like troublesome neighbours.
I have also read some articles of the bougainvillea being recommended to be used for generational issues.  Essence made from the bougainvillea flower is said to be able to cleanse and balance “old” energies in the house left behind from past generations, ancestors, etc.
