In the early 1990s we were introduced to the irrepressible Nanny Fran Fine. She with the irritating voice, big hair and to-die-for figure captured the imagination of television viewers around world at that time. As far as I can remember, the show went on for a few years until 1999. She did act in other TV shows and a movie which I did not watch. I also read that she had cancer but has since recovered.

Well, it seemed that Fran Drescher got a divorce from her producer husband when The Nanny ended and recently she announced that her ex-hubby was gay. And just like many of us, Fran also has a problem with keeping her weight down. The actress who is 53 years old this year wears many hats including that of comedian, screenwriter, television director, producer, author, activist and political lobbyist.
