NOTHING STRANGE ABOUT A LIVING MAN BUYING FINAL RESTING PLACE

The western world seemed to be shocked that actor Nicholas Cage has bought for himself the above mausoleum type of resting place when he dies.  They think that it is bizarre.
To me and many Chinese the world over, what Nicholas Cage has done is something very normal.  Not many Chinese would bat an eyelid if they hear of someone choosing and buying their burial plots and planning the design of their tombs. It is believed that burial plots with good feng shui are important as they affect the fortunes of the descendants.
Tombs that are built for the living are known as sang kee (meaning "base of living") and are built to enhance one's luck or promote good health and longevity.  Who knows, perhaps Nic consulted a Feng Shui master and was advised to build such a tomb to tide him over his misfortune since it has been reported that he is suffering from a mega financial crisis.

Nic Cage has purchased himself a fancy new pyramid to stay in -- but he doesn't plan on moving in .... until he's dead.

TMZ has learned Cage recently had a 9-foot tall pyramid-shaped super-tomb built in a New Orleans cemetery -- with the expectation that it will be his final resting place.
