MINI ROSES

For Mother's Day, I gave my mum a pot of miniature roses.  When I bought the roses, I did not realise that there were two different coloured roses in the pot as the yellow roses were unopened buds. 

In Feng Shui, one needs to be careful when choosing gifts because they may have hidden meanings.  For example, when you give gifts that have sharp edges they symbolize cutting a relationship, when the gifts are empty they represent lack of financial resources.

Those who believe in symbolic or New Age Feng Shui would avoid giving roses with the thorns still on the stems because these can pierce a relationship. The miniature rose plant that I bought my mum would not pose such a threat as it was the thornless kind.
