GETTING A HAIRCUT ON ER YUE ER

The Chinese in China  believe that when people have their hair cut on the second day of the second lunar month (or Er Yue Er in Mandarin), it will bring them good luck. Folklore addresses this day as "dragon lifting head", meaning the spring awakens after winter hibernation.  By cutting their hair, the people will have a vigorous start to the new year.
Actually I just found out about this day which fell on March 17 this year.  If not I would have had my hair trimmed then instead of yesterday.
