WEARING YANG COLOURS FOR TOMB SWEEPING

I was told that one should not wear black coloured clothings when going for tomb sweeping during Ching Ming as this is a yin colour which can easily attract negative energy and also spirits and ghosts.  Where else can we find a place populated with lots of spirits other than cemeteries.  So a person attired in black might be a magnet for beings from another realm.
We should instead wear Yang colours when going for Ching Ming as the bright colours are full of Yang or positive energy.  The glare of the bright colours would repel the spirits.
My mum, aunt and I all wore red t-shirts or blouses when we set off to pay our respects to my dad this afternoon.
