There is an exhibition on weddings at Heritage Hotel in Ipoh now. If I am not mistaken it is titled '1 Malaysia Bridal Exhbition' and features exhibits of Malay, Chinese and Indian weddings. The above pictures are some of the exhibits on the Chinese Wedding which is called a Hei Si or also known as a Red Occasion (Hung Si). I guess that one would be able to pretty much guess why it is called such by looking at the items used for the wedding above.
