PRAYING FOR A GOOD YEAR AHEAD

Every Chinese New Year, I would make it a habit to visit the Ling Sen Tong next to Sam Poh Tong.  My mum and aunt likes to come to this place as they enjoy seeing the beautiful statues of the Buddhist and Taoist Deities.  I also take the opportunity to pray to Kuan Yin, Buddha and other Taoist deities for a safe and successful year ahead.
Each year, I would wish to be as beautiful and as youthful as this statue of the Goddess of Mercy.  I cannot help but be mesmerised by the serenity and beauty of this particular statue of Her.
I know I should also learn to be as compassionate, kind and merciful as Kuan Yin.
Praying to Tien Koon or the Heavenly Marshall for abundance of blessings this year.
