WHAT A COINCIDENCE!

In April this year my mum was very ill. She had insomnia and had also lost her appetite. It got to a stage that she became very depressed because of her illness. She had also lost a lot of weight and was down to 49 kilogrammes from her normal 56 kilogrammes.

My Aunt Linda and I were very worried a her ibout leaving her alone in Ipoh and so we brought her to stay at my place in Sitiawan. There Aunt Linda could monitor her while I was at work. My friend, Tuan Haji Hasnin, suggested that I take her for reflexology treatment as he said that that might help. Since I did not know where the place was, my friend Puan Kamariah volunteered to show us the way to the shop which was located near the Kampung Koh market.

She recovered after a week after we did some riuals and prayers. We later discovered that her condition was because of the dreaded Five Yellow and also she had a brush with a nasty spirit that followed her home after she went for Cheng Beng.

Last Friday, my mum and I were discussing that particular time in her life. She told me that she remembered Aunt Linda, Kamariah and I enjoying our food at Secret Recipe Restaurant in Sitiawan. She said that she saw Aunt Linda tucking into her fish and chips while Kamariah and I were happily eating the food that we ordered. Unfortunately, she could not stomach any of the food since her tummy ached and she had no appetite at all. On Saturday morning, I told her that I would take her to Secret Recipe Restaurant in Ipoh for dinner so that she could enjoy the food there since she has gotten her appetite back.

Believe it or not, I had a call from Kamariah at 6.30 p.m. telling me that she was shopping at Tesco in Ipoh. Her husband and her children had gone to their relatives' house and would only be picking her up at around 8.30 p.m.

I invited her to join my mum and me for dinner at Secret Recipe. On the way to pick her up, I told my mum that it really was a coincidence of her being in Ipoh and going for dinner with us at Secret Recipe when she was with us at the Secret Recipe Restaurant in Sitiawan. What a lovely surprise!

Too bad my Aunt Linda wasn't around as she wanted to attend church on Sunday and didn't come back with me on Saturday. I only picked her up this evening after she went for her service.
