I have often seen some ladies using the grill of their entrance to hang their shoes like in the pictures above. I guess they think that it saves space and (maybe) serves as decorations as well. However, according to Vaasthu Sastra and Feng Shui beliefs, it is not good to put shoes at the entrance of ones house. This is because the Qi (energy) rides with the wind and will collect all the smell of those shoes (and other types of footwear) into the house causing sickness. By hanging the shoes on the grill would deter the good Qi from entering the house.
