WALKING OFF THE WEIGHT?

Though I am not fat but I personally feel that I would be fitter if I lose another 5 kilogrammes. As we age, our movements are not as fluid as in our younger days. However, it seems that with the advancement of age, our metabolic rate decreases resulting in weight gain especially around the waist area. One of the exercises that I do is to walk. In my housing area in Ipoh, the senior citizens would go for morning walks to remain fit and supple. There are some people who say that walking can help us to lose weight. Can it?

Well I read an article in the Internet about whether we can walk off the weight. Unfortunately, it seems that the answer is no. The writer said that if you haven’t exercised regularly for a long time, walking is a good way to start getting back into a regimen. However, in order to see a significant change in weight then things like a proper diet and other forms of exercises should also be practised.
