I am helping the religious teacher in my school to buy new clothes for the orphans in the Welfare Home that he is a member of. Wellwishers have donated money for the orphans and next week a few of my friends and I will be taking the children to buy their Raya clothes.
I went with my friend, Kamariah, to check out the prices of the traditional Malay clothings for boys and girls in a shop this afternoon. We wanted to make sure that the money collected would be enough for the purchases. The owner of the shop said that he would be giving us a big discount. Last year we went to the same shop and the owner not only gave us a big discount but he also sponsored some of the attire for the children. The difference is that there were only 9 orphans last year whereas there are now 35 orphans this year.
