THE UGLY SIDE OF BEAUTY

An earlier picture of Lee Da Hae when she won a beauty competition
A recent picture of Lee Da Hae, the successful actress

Early this morning I read an article about plastic surgery gone wrong in the Sunday newspaper. It seemed that there had been cases of people dying because the plastic surgeon operated on them even with the knowledge that they were unfit for it. There were also cases of people looking worse after the surgery and had to pay lots of money for the repair job. Please click here to read the article titled "The Ugly Side of Beauty" that I am referrring to.
I think people today are sort of influenced by the absurdly beautiful and handsome models and actresses that they see in magazines, billboards, on television and in cinemas that they become obsessed to look beautiful, and many will not think twice about spending thousands of ringgit to achieve their dreams. This would include going under the knife for enhancements.
An hour ago I read an article about South Korean actress looking very much different now from when she won a beauty pageant years ago. From the two pictures above, it is rather obvious that the actress had some work done to make her eyes larger and nose more refined. On seeing this transformation, many ladies out there would get the impression that they can acquire such beauty by paying a cosmetic surgeon to re-work their faces. They do not know the dangers they face and they might end up paying with their lives.
