One dish that Malay ladies like to eat is Kerabu. Why? Because they believe that eating all the herbs used to make the dish would help them to maintain their youthful appearance. This is most likely to be true as most herbs contain anti-oxidents which help to slow down aging.
Me? I have always loved eating raw food and kerabu happens to one dish that I eat often. Most of the herbs are taken from our Herb Garden. My friend, Baz, is shown mixing the ingredients of the kerabu after they have all been cut. For your information, the herbs used are the daun pecah kaca, bean sprouts, bunga kantan (torch flowers), long beans, bebuas, pegaga and daun kaduk. Anchovies that are pounded and fried are added to the herbs. Salt, sugar and lime juice are added and it is ready to be served.
By the way, besides helping us to look young, eating kerabu also will help to rid our bodies of wind. So don't be surprised if you start to flatude after a meal of kerabu.
