HOLDING ON TO ONES JOB IN BAD TIMES - PART 1
"World markets down amid US car industry concerns". I was confronted with this headline the moment I logged onto the Internet. As I read further, I found that the stock markets around the world fell on Friday amid amid concerns about the future of the U.S. auto industry following the Senate's rejection of a $14 billion rescue deal. I am no economist but I can guess that this would have a lot of effects on jobs.
So, this morning I am going to do post advice given by Feng Shui Master Jane Hor on how to secure your job when the economy is down. It has to do with ones sitting position in the office.
FENG SHUI DON'T
Do not sit with your back to the door
WHY
Sitting with your back to the door is disruptive because you would not know who is coming into the room. The first principle is to avoid placing your work desk near to the door. In Feng Shui, the door is called 'the mouth of Chi'. Besides being the entrance and the exit for the office staff, it also okats an important role in absorbing the Chi. Since Chi is always circulating around this area, it is advisable not to put your working desk near to the door or even sit against the door as you will experience unfortunate energy, such as, losing support from your superiors or peers or experience backstabbing.
WHAT TO DO
The most effective solution is to rearrange your sitting position and try to sit against a solid wall. Otherwise, you may consider finding a chair which has a high back to create a 'wall' in order to get the needed support.
