TEMPLE OF A MILLION BOTTLES

There is a temple in Thailand which is made from many, many recycled bottles. The Buddhist temple is Wat Pa Maha Chedi Kaew, 370 miles northeast of Bangkok. It is also known as Wat Lan Kuad, or "Temple of Million Bottles". The monks in the temple use discarded bottles to construct everything on the temple site from the crematorium to toilets. So far there are about 1.5 million recycled bottles in the temple, and the monks are planning to use more bottles to add to the temple.
At first the temple first started using discarded bottles in 1984 to decorate the monks' shelters. This attracted more people to donate more bottles to build other buildings such as a pagoda,
