This afternoon I asked my librarian, Daniel, to clean the whiteboard which was accidentally written on with a permanent marker. The writing was left on the board before the Raya holidays and would prove to be very stubborn once it comes to removing it. Try as Daniel could the writing could not come off. At first he tried using just water, then proceeded to use soap but it was useless. Then he tried thinner but it was useless. After that they tried using another marker pen to go over the inked writing but that too was a failure. Next I suggested using the Minyak Gamat but that too proved to be a futile exercise. Finally, I got the idea to use medicated oil (Minyak Cap Kapak). Guess what? It worked. In the above pictures, you see Safwan holding the bottle of medicated oil while Daniel does the cleaning. Amazing, isn't it?
