It is said that the eyes reflect the soul of a person. Here are some observations that the ancient Chinese have made about different types of eyes.

1. It is believed that those with bright eyes will live a long life.
2. If there is a black mole on top of an eye, it suggests that the person has the tendency to be a bandit.
3. If there is a mole underneath the eye, it signifies a tear drop which means the person would have a lot to be sad about. It is advised that such a mole be removed.
4. According to Chinese belief, it is taboo for women to have '4 whites' (meaning that there are white matter surrounding the top, bottom, left and right of the pupil). This indicates that the woman would have to marry five times.
5. People who have triangular shaped eyes are said to live a life of isolation. They lack passion and might also possess the characteristics of a thief.
6. It is a folk belief, that for a woman the twitching of the left eye is a sign that there may be wealth luck while the twitching of the left eye is not welcomed as it is a sign that disaster is ahead. For a man, it is the reverse - left twitch is good and right twitch is bad.
