BLESSING

I had the good fortune to be at home when the chariot bearing one of the Hindu deities was paraded around my housing area. Of course, I quickly grabbed my camera and dashed out of the house to capture all the goings-on to post here.

A riot of colours assailed my sense of of sight. There were two rows of pretty young Indian maidens walking in front of the chariot. I could see a few of my neighbours offering coconuts and other offerings to the priest who sat on top the chariot. I too went up to him to be blessed. To me there is never too much of blessing and I take every opportunity to get a chance at it.
