I saw a TV programme about the benefits of black garlic and learnt from the Internet that one could actually make them using a rice cooker. So I followed the instructions and did so for a month.

Tada! What you see in the picture above is the black garlic I managed to ferment. It is a super garlic with l

The monthlong fermentation process in creating black garlic contributes to creating a kind of super garlic. The compound S-allylcysteine, a natural component of fresh garlic and a derivative of the amino acid cysteine, was found in much greater concentrations in black garlic and is thought to help lower cholesterol and decrease the risk of cancer, reports
