Lai Yoong, Aunty Linda and I were at a nursery in Pasir Pinji to buy a pot of lime plant for my house. My late mother always had at least a pot for Chinese New Year and I am keeping to the tradition.
In Malaysia a
potted lime plant heavily laden with fruit for Chinese
New Year is believed to usher in good luck as the word for lime in Chinese is Kat which has the same sound like auspice.
