Schools in Malaysia were closed for two days by the Minister of Education as the air quality in the country was not healthy. However government run examinations had to be carried out. So those who were invigilating and sitting for the examinations did not enjoy the luxury of sitting at home to avoid from the ill effects of the haze.
I bought surgical masks for my librarians and other students who visited the library to carry out their revision on Monday. Actually these three ply masks could only filter out a small percentage of the particles but some protection is better than none.
