MASKS TO PROTECT AGAINST THE HAZE

Face masks are selling like hot cakes at pharmacies where I live. I am quite certain that the situation is same in other parts of Haze hit Malaysia. The Department of Occupational Safety and Health (Dosh) said the main concern of health during haze was the fine particulate matter or PM10 (particulate of size 10 micron and below).
The ones shown above are the two and three-ply surgical masks.  Unfortunately, these do not do such a great job at filtering the toxic particles derived from the haze.
I bought the N95 face mask from the pharmacy and was charged RM5 for it.  This type of mask does a better job at filtering the fine particles.
