WHAT HAPPENED TO JUNIOR?

Junior has lost his appetite. He doesn't even respond to cheese cake and only ate half of his wet food. His nose is not as wet as it usually is. He just was not active last night. Just slept or lazed around. Before I took him to the vet, I had advice from a friend to give him a remedy that she had tried on her pets.
She told me to feed Junior 1 /to 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, melt it with some hot water. Then break a raw egg inside. Feed 1/3 to the at and then feed again. According to her, this concoction is actually used to treat very sick and almost dying animals. Her hamster was dying, diarrhea and slept the whole day and when she checked the internet, it there was no hope. But she fed the hampster this concoction and today it is alive and kicking.
I will keep the recipe for the cure but took Junior to the vet. He said that she was okay and most probably needed to be dewormed as the last time was two months' ago.
