WEDDING INVITE

My former student. Syam Saiful Syrek came personally to invite me to his wedding reception this coming Sunday.  He actually called a day earlier to ask if I was around as he wished to hand me the invitation card.  So I had time to get him a wedding present.
If a person comes and personally send me an invitation, I will try my best to attend.  If not I would at least get a present for him or her.  I do not entertain invitations that are not addressed specially to me and sent via email as I don't feel that the person is sincere in the invitation.  When you want to invite a person, then do it properly and courteously.  Sigh .... such common courtesy is very lacking nowadays.
