One very interesting piece of news that I read on the Internet was that of a Chinese man in Guangdong who in an attempt to prevent his girlfriend to be wooed by others, decided to fatten her up.  He succeeded and recently proposed to her.
Hmm.... personally I think that the guy is really insecure.  He didn't think that all the food and the weight gain might ruin her health in the long run.

Paranoid Guy Fattens Up His Own Girlfriend So Men Wouldn't Find Her Attractive

This sounds like a pretty unhealthy relationship.

In order to prevent his girlfriend from attracting any suitors, a jealous Chinese man came up with the perfect plan: Fatten the girlfriend

A jealous boyfriend who 'fattened up' his partner in a ploy to put off any love rivals has popped the question. Attractive Yan Tai weighed just over seven stone when she began dating You Pan in South China's Guangdong Province.

20-year-old Yan Tai was just around 45kg before meeting You Pan, who was extremely jealous and paranoid that she'd attract other men

Yan Tai, 20, of China’s Guangdong Province weighed about 100 pounds about two years ago, Daily Mail reports. It was around this time when she started dating You Pan, who was extremely paranoid about his girlfriend attracting other men.

You Pan would feed her two big breakfasts, huge lunches and scrumptious dinners every day and even woke her up to feed her midnight snacks.

Pretty soon, her weight doubled to 90kg before You Pan decided to pop the question with a bouquet of Ferrero Roche at their favourite street of restaurants.

Luckily, Pan seems to have found a dormant food addict that just needed some encouragement to come out because Tai didn’t seem to mind the treatment. She gained over 90 pounds thanks to his feeding.
Now the 25-year-old feeder has popped the question to his girlfriend with a bouquet made, most fittingly, out of Ferrero Roche. The food-obsessed romantic even made the proposal to his ‘goddess’ at their favourite street of restaurants as friends held up pictures of the couple's favourite foods.
To top if off, their friends were around holding pictures of foods that led to her transformation.
She accepted the proposal and was promised that she'd be fed even more.
Beaming with happiness, Yan said 'yes' and the happy couple sealed the deal with a kiss as friends at the venue cheered on. You has now promised to feed her even more once they are married.
