My late mother would make me mee sua (fine vermicelli) soup if I was feeling under the weather. this was because the soft noodles would be easier to swallow. Furthermore, when I am sick I don;t have much appetite. You used to buy the vermicelli that came in a box. When I tried to look for the boxed ones in the market, I was told that it was rather difficult to find. The ones sold nowadays are usually packed in plastic. Lucikily I found the boxed type from Tesco supermarket.
