STAKING A BENT PLANT

The Mata Itik Plant above is leaning because the stem cannot hold the weight of the leaves and buds.  I realised that if nothing is done, the plant might get uprooted.
Luckily the college janitors were around and they helped me to straighten the plant by staking.  They planted a stake a few feet away from the plant  Then tied a raffia string around the stem of the plant and pulled it towards the stake to straighten.  Hopefully that works.
