In Malay this the pomfret is known as ikan bawal. As far as I know this is a very expensive fish. The white pomfret being the most expensive. There are also silver and black pomfret fish. The last time I checked, a kilogram of this fish costs RM45 at the jetty. BUT it is really tasty, especially when steamed.
