IPOH MURAL ART

Some time last year, I went to Ipoh New town to check out some wall murals which were painted on a few old, heritage buildings.  The one that is visible to drivers would be that of the lion dance.
Recently the artist and his team have been at it again.  There was the one with children playing mother hen and hide-and-seek.  Then there is a scene of dulang washers mining tin ore, a Chinese Opera and a kavadi carrier.  There were also that of Malay, Indian and Chinese musicians playing classical instruments.
This wonderful wall art was initiated by art teacher, Eric Lai, who runs an art school Artgene Studio in Bercham.  I read that he had just completed his seventh and last mural at the lane in between Jalan Masjid and Jalan Sultan Iskandar (Hugh Low Street).  Enjoy looking at the paintings below.
