TERUNG PIPIT (PEA EGGPLANT)

This may looked like cooked peas to you, right?  Well, it is actually called terung pipit in Malay.  In the English  language it is known as pea eggplant as the fruit does look very much like peas.  It goes by the scientific name solanum torvum and has a number of health benefits.  As far as I know, it is good for helping to lower high blood pressure, to cure coughs, treat piles, asthma, chest phlegm and reduce body heat.
In my case, I love to eat it as a dish, especially when it is cooked with sambal added with petai.  Yummy, yummy.
