MY NEW BLOUSE FOR THE COMING LUNAR NEW YEAR

I am doing my Chinese New Year shopping very early.  For those who are not sure, the lunar new year begins on the 31st of January and that means there is more than 2 months to go before we welcome in a new year.
Above is one of the new blouses that I bought for the new year.  Yeah.  It is pink.  To the Chinese red or bright coloured clothing is commonly worn throughout the Chinese New Year as red is believed to scare away evil spirits and bad fortune. In addition, there are some Chinese who wear new clothes from head to toe to symbolize a new beginning in the new year. Wearing new clothes also symbolizes having more than enough things to use and wear in the new year. Red is a colour of good luck.
