COLOURED RICE

Coloured Rice

During Deepavali, the Hindu ladies would make coloured rice from those that are broken to make Rangoli or Kolan.  The colour that is use is edible.  The rice is meant to feed birds and insects. 
Nowadays, one can buy coloured rice from the shops instead of making them. That was what I did when I made the Rangoli for the library exhibition.
