A SIGN THAT THE LUNAR NEW YEAR IS APPROACHING

I am beginning to see tangerines and Mandarin oranges being sold at the market at the supermarkets.  This is surely a sign that the lunar new year is very near.  As a matter of fact, it is about two and a half months away. As the one year mourning period for my mum is over, I can carry out many of the rituals to welcome the new year, like spring cleaning, sending off the Kitchen God and changing the red cloth for the altars.
