According to the Chinese lunar calendar, we are more than halfway past the 8th month. Now this means that the new year will be about four months away since Chinese New Year is at the end of January 2014.
When I went to buy my prayer candles at the prayer paraphernalia shop recently, I saw that the T'ung Shu or Farmer's Almanac for 2014 is already on sale. I usually buy a copy each year to keep at home.
