PICTURES FROM MECCA

As today is Eid Al Adha or Hari Raya Haji, I am going to share with you the pictures that Kamariah sent to me on Saturday using Whatsapp.  She along with millions of other Muslims in Mecca have gone to Mount Arafat for the climax of the pilgrimage rituals.  If I am not mistaken, she would have stopped first at Mina to pray and rest before moving to Arafat for wukuf. There she will carry out the symbolic ritual of stoning the devil at the 3 Jamarat.  Then she returns to Mecca to do tawaf and saie to complete her Hajj.
The soon-to be Hajah Kamariah sent me a text message yesterday morning to say that there would be no Wifi at Arafat and so I won't be getting pictures from her until she returns to Mecca.
Below are some of the pictures she sent.
A closer view of the Pancur Emas or Mizab or Meezab-i Rahmat. It is a rainwater spout made of gold. Added in the rebuilding of the Kaabah in 1627 after the previous year's rain caused three of the four walls to collapse.
The pilgrims performing Tawaf in which each person walks counter-clockwise seven times around the Ka'aba, the cube-shaped building draped in black.

If I am not mistaken, this pilgrim is taking a drink of the Zam Zam water.
Part of the Al-Haram Mosque which surrounds the Kaabah.
Kamariah's husband, Encik Khairi at one of the Zam Zam water drinking outlets.
