After 3 weeks of preparation, the exhibition titled "Jottings of a Pilgrim on the Hajj" was finally completed. This morning, I invited the director of the college to officiate at the simple opening ceremony. Actually I learnt a lot about the Kaabah, the Al Haram Mosque and also the Hajj from preparing the exhibits. The point is that we must always be open to learn about the religions and beliefs of others so that we can be more understanding and tolerant.
The next exhibition that follows after this is based on the Hindu Festival, Divali. I am already making plans to come up a Rangoli of a Peacock and will learn how to dye the rice for making it. The process of making it will be highlighted for the new exhibition.
Visitors to the exhibition will be served Zam Zam Water that Kamariah sent back from Madinah and Korma or dates.
