SAMBAL PETAI UDANG COOKED CHINESE STYLE

I Whatsapped this photo of sambal udang petai to Kamariah and she told me that she thought that I cooked it.  Actually Lai Yoong and I had it for dinner at a seafood restaurant in Sitiawan.
What made her think that it was I who cooked it?  Firstly, it is because I am always cooking sambal udang petai and secondly I once made for her petai cooked this way.  I think this is the Chinese style of cooking petai.  The Malay style of cooking petai is something like the picture below.  Actually the Nyonya style is also like the one below.
