Uncle Krishnan and his worker who had come to cut the grass helped me to replant the Kaffir Lime plant that was planted by my late mother. My mum had engaged the service of this uncle to cut the grass for years and I just continued calling him every month or so to help clean the garden.
According to Uncle Krishnan the Indians like to have a lime plant in front of their house. In Feng Shui lime plants are great and bring prosperity, particularly to South East facing homes. From what I know, having a kaffir lime plant in the garden helps to ward of evil spirits.
