RAMADAN: THE MONTH OF DEEDS

According to Muslim beliefs, during this blessed month of Ramadan good deeds are multiplied. This is also the month of forgiveness.   Every year, my friends and I at the library will plan a special programme in conjunction with Ramadan.  This year the theme is  "Ramadan: Bulan Amal Ma'arof"  (Ramadan: the month of good deeds).  We have planned an exhibition, collection of donations to buy clothes for orphans and poor children, visiting old folks and other programmes.  It is hoped that everyone will gain knowledge, enlightenment and merit from the activities that we have planned.  By the way, this will be seventh year that we are carrying out this programme.
