NAJIB ROSMAH ORCHID

Being a nature lover, the Singapore Botanical Gardens was one of the places that I had requested to visit during my stay there.  In the Gardens was an orchid garden which housed plants named after famous people.  It was while admiring the orchids that I chanced upon the Dendrobium Najib Rosmah.
This tall and robust hybrid of the Dendrobium Ronald Imanuel and Dendrobium Jeffrey Tan orchids was named Dendrobium Najib Rosmah in conjunction with the visit of Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor to the National Orchid Garden at the Singapore Botanic Gardens on 22 May 2009.
