NATURAL AIR FRESHENER

I don't really fancy the scent from conventional air fresheners as they are a bit too much for my olfactory perception.  Furthermore, these artificial air freshening sprays that can be bought from the departmental stores or supermarkets might be harmful for ones health.  I have read of some fresheners that can cause allergic reactions and headaches.  So if you want your living space to smell nice, you can try using natural herbs that can freshen the air.
What my friends and I usually use is pandanus leaves.  They impart a fresh fragrance and are used as an air freshener across Asia.  You can also put some pandan leaves in your car.
To bring out the fragrance of the pandan leaves, I have them cut into fine strips.  Alternatively, they can be tied together or bundled up.
Put them in containers and place them in the hall or living room.
I also put the strips in bags and hang them up.
To further enhance the fragrance, add some water to the pandan leaves.
