Here are 12 most fortunate days aka "tithis" (dates) which are regarded as auspicious in India to buy gold, as enlisted by Yahoo.



1. Shree Ganesh Jayanti
February 13
Ganesh Jayanti is an auspicious day devoted to Lord Ganesha in Magh month i.e. between January to February. According to the Hindu calendar, 2013 Ganesh Jayanti will be celebrated on February 13. Ganesh Jayanti is the most celebrated festival in Maharashtra, India. The day is regarded as lord Ganesh's birthday and also believed that buying gold on the occasion brings good luck.

2. Gudi Padwa
