During my visit to Kellie's Castle with Balqis and Nureen, I saw an old well with an iron cover at the castle grounds. We do know that it is important to cover the well for safety. I do not know if the cover was from the time of Kellie or if the management of the place had installed it to prevent people from accidentally falling into the well.
