REUSING OLD CABLE SPOOL AS TABLE

I saw this cable spool table at a deli in Ipoh. I noticed that the proprietor did not do anything to it but left it the way it was.  In a way, it looks authentic but then if given a coat of paint, it might look better.  What do you think?
