FOUND ANOTHER PIE TEE STALL
High on my list of favourite snacks is Nyonya Kueh Pie Tee or Top Hats. Pie Tee is actually thin and crispy pastry tart shells filled with a spicy, sweet mixture of thinly sliced vegetables and dried prawns. Yummilicious.
It is on the menu of the Chicken Rice shop but is rather pricey. I also find that the tart shells are not so crispy. A couple of years ago, I blogged about ordering them from a stall run by a lady named Michelle. However, she stopped making the Pie Tee and ventured into making noodles instead.
Luckily for me, I found another stall selling this snack in a shop at Ipoh Garden East. Yahoo! They were crispy and very delicious. For the price of RM3.30 you get 5 tarts. I ate 10.
