CHINESE MUGWORT

The bunch of herbs you see above is known as Chinese Mugwort. In Chinese traditional medicine, the leaf of this herb has bitter, pungent and warm properties.  It is associated the Liver, Spleen and Kidney meridians. Its main functions are to warm the meridians and stop bleeding, and to dispel cold and stop pain.
My friend who is having problems with prolonged menstrual bleeding asked me to help buy it as she was advised to eat this as a remedy.  The lady who sold it to me said to boil the whole lot, leaves and stems included in water for about two hours and add honey dates to them.  She told me that Mugwort helps to strengthen the womb.  According to her, one of her customers who had problems conceiving before taking this herb, bore two children after she took the concoction.
