GREEN APPLES


Those of you whose cholesterol levels are high would enjoy reading my recent postings as a lot of them centre on my number one obsession at the present moment - lowering my cholesterol level.

I have been doing a lot of reading and it seems that apple is one of THE food for reducing the high cholesterol. Green apple is the best. I was told that 2 green apples per day is the best but it does seem a bit difficult to take two a day.

Why apples?  Well according to Science, apple pectin is a soluble fiber that helps draw cholesterol out of the system. The flavonoids (Quercetin) in apples act as a powerful anti-oxidant that seems to short-circuit the process that leads “bad” LDL cholesterol to accumulate in the bloodstream.
