MY RECIPE FOR ROSELLE DRINK





I bought RM3 ringgit worth of roselle from the market on Thursday and finally got to make a drink out of them last night. Besides the roselle flowers, I also used brown sugar and rock sugar.

Here is my recipe for Roselle Drink

Preparation time : 30 minutes

Ingredients:
About 2 big soup bowls of Roselle fruit (seeds removed)
3 litres of water
Rock sugar 1 cupful
Brown sugar 6 tbsp

Method
  1. Bring water to boil, and then add the Roselle fruit.
  2. Continue to simmer for 15.
  3. Add the rock sugar and brown sugar.  Stir until dissolved.
  4. Boil for another 5 minutes before turning off the heat.
  5. Discard the Roselle fruit.  
  6. Serve cold with crush ice.
