There was news about these Nail Houses in China a while back. A nail house is a Chinese
neologism for homes belonging to people (sometimes called "stubborn nails") who refuse to make room for
development. The term, a
pun coined by
developers, refers to nails that are stuck in wood, and cannot be pounded down with a hammer.
In the picture above, you see the nail house that was highlighted in the news across the world. A house located in the middle of the road like this one is truly inauspicious as the vehicles are coming from all directions. This is like it being hit by poison arrows from all directions.
